The Original Bug Shirt is made from a densely woven natural cotton of a quality not normally used in clothing. The specialized material uses no nasty chemicals, but ensures the wearer is protected from midges, mosquitoes, horseflies and ticks, and most other blood-sucking insects common to Northern Europe, the Americas and the Tropics.

 

Where the shirt hangs away from the skin we use black midge mesh - this keeps out all manner of tiny biters, lets air through, and provides excellent visibility through the mesh.

  • Lightweight but very densely woven fabric in a cool 100% natural coloured cotton that midges and mosquitoes can't bite through it. .

  • Midge mesh sleeves and sides allow cooling breezes in but keep biting insects out

  • The face mesh provides excellent visibility and offers protection against even the tiniest midges.

  • A neck adjuster allows for optimum fit and comfort

  • The double zippered hood can be easily thrown back, and fits over a hat or cap.

  • Wrist closures seal the sleeves against biting insects.

  • A drawstring at the waist, with bow cord lock, guarantees a a snug fit and stops insects getting under the waist band

  • The entire shirt folds into its own zippered pocket, and travels easily on a belt clip.
